2027 Beekeeping School

The area’s only year-long beginning beekeeping school — four classroom evenings, eight field days and a season of mentoring.

$150 class fee

Everything you need for your first year with bees

The Beekeepers Association of the Ozarks is proud to present the area’s only year-long beginning beekeeping school. It runs from the first classroom evening in January right through to the last field class in October — a full season alongside people who have done it before.

The $150 fee includes

  • 12 classes with hands-on opportunities
  • Field classes allow you to learn from local mentors throughout the season
  • Guidance for purchasing bees & equipment
  • Access to experienced mentors
  • 1 year BAO club membership with monthly support sessions
  • Beekeeping Essentials Guide with monthly hive management guidance and resources

Field classes

Eight hands-on days

Eight (8) hands-on field classes are held the second Saturday of the month, March through October.

Enrolled students are emailed the details for each session, including where to meet.
